Originally from the Chicago suburbs, I grew up playing music and consequently: learning how to read a room. Starting at age 16 I would perform 6-nights a week at restaurants and private parties. I would curate my setlists based on #1) what mood I was in that moment and #2) which songs I anticipated would get me the most tips based on the demographics of the audience (It was a fun game I got pretty good at).
I found that this skill of understanding an audience translated quite well to marketing. I began my career earning degrees in Marketing and International Business at IU’s Kelley School of Business.
Since 2022 I’ve lived in New York City, (the west side of Manhattan if we want to get specific) working in Marketing.
In 2022 I also began consistently posting on TikTok, sharing career and networking advice, and the exhilarating craziness of living in NYC in your 20s. I’m passionate about personal and professional growth, and redefining what it means to be “professional”. If I can inspire or reach one girl everyday, I’m happy.
I’m currently Director of Marketing for a VC-backed beverage startup (you can read more in the “Work” section of my website).
In my copious amounts of free-time *insert sarcasm here* I love calling my grandparents to practice my German, dancing on tables in NYC clubs, and wandering around the city listening to business podcasts with an overpriced latte in-hand.
